The Lord is My Banner

'You have given a banner to those who fear You, That it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah'

Psalms 60:4

A banner is a flag, it is a symbol of who you are, where you live, who governs you, what you believe. We live under the banner of

  • The Truth

Not a “what” but a “who.” He is the way, the truth and the life..”

  • The Free

The spiritually free!

  • The Saved

Saved from death, from the opinions of others, even saved from ourselves. Being saved comes with a guarantee that God hears you when you call out to Him.

Being saved is a state of surrender to God in our life, in every respect.

Being saved also comes with protection from evil. The enemy still comes against us, but cannot overpower us!

This banner is invisible to the eye - there is no flag we carry around with us in the physical sense. But, we still see that banner in other people and people see it in us. Of course, the enemies of God see the banner, too, and will rage against us.
