When God's Promise Dies, Wait For the Surprise
It seems weird that God would let His promises die before bringing them to fulfillment, but that is the way it works sometimes. Think of the life of Abraham - God fulfilled the promise of giving Abraham a son. There were decades of patience-building time Abraham had to endure before that promise came to pass. And once it did come to pass, God asked him to kill that son on an altar - He asked. Abraham to kill the promise! But, Abraham knew that God would not break His word - if God asked him to kill his son, then He would raise him again from the dead!
When a promise from God appears to die, it puts us in a place where we must trust God as we never have before.
